Chemeca has a well-equipped state of the art R&D center run by a team of highly qualified personnel. The team has extensive experience in process Research and Development for APIs and their critical intermediates.
The R&D teams strengths are developing non-infringing, novel, and cost effective routes to comply with IP and regulatory requirements in a safe and environmental friendly processes. They also have strong expertise in asymmetric synthesis and racemization chemistry to develop chiral molecules. The team is also skilled in polymorphism associated with new molecule development.
The departments capabilities include Heterocyclic reactions, Suzuki coupling, Minisci reactions, Sandmeyer reactions, Friedel craft acetylation,
Hoffmann degradation reactions, Chlorination, dehalogenation, reductions, and oxidations. The Chemeca R&D department is supported by a strong technology transfer team to study the scale up issues before commercialization. We adopt good laboratory practices with online documentation of various phases of process development, including the scale-up which helps the production team have a safe and robust process. The department also supports regulatory filings along with evolution of genotoxic impurities and synthesis, along with characterization of process/degradation impurities.
